 Week 1 of Physical Therapy Internship

Week 1: 

My CI's name is Victoria Loving. She is 7+ different colored pens in a bag and a color-coordinated day planner. She is "I almost bought you colored pens". She is alphabetized patient notes piled in a drawer. She is travel PT until I found a good fit. She is baking peach cobbler from the fresh peaches that a patient brought in and gifting it back to the patient. She is "try it and see". She is single with a roommate that also works at CNS. She is someone who teaches through example and isn't bothered when I read her notes over her shoulder as she types. She is running/exercising daily at around 5 am. She is "I have been in Bakersfield for a year, and I only have friends at CNS". She is make sure you are muted before you say not so polite things at work when teleconferencing. She is uncomfortable/dislikes formal clothing. She is "you are my first student". She is assertive and direct with a telehealth non-compliant patient that displays assaultive behavior toward the aids.... at the same time.... she is SpongeBob meme's and "aye aye captain" in her IM conversations with the behavior analyst. She is "grab a lemonade from the break room they have a lot of different brands". She is "I didn't think I taught you a lot after the first week". She is "I guess I stockpile the good snacks in my drawer when they are out in the breakroom...that's embarrassing". At the end of the day, she is "do you have any questions/concerns regarding...?"

I am first day at work in a rental car. 2nd day I bike to work and back no problems. 3 day seat comes loose and the brakes break. 4th day= flat tire/bent tire. I am too tired to send sunflower seeds. searching for a new car. Menstruating- cramping.
